12(A) CORRECTIVE ACTION
 
The RTO must take corrective and preventative action in relation to failure to comply with the AQTF standards for RTOs and the RTO’s quality systems, policies or procedures.
 
The Corrective and Preventative Action Log as part of the VET Management Committee meeting minutes will:
 
• Document a failure of the RTO to comply with the AQTF Standards for Registered Training Organisations.
• Document the corrective action process required to prevent further non-compliance in relation to the AQTF Standards for Registered Training Organisations.
• Document the timeframe and person responsible to prevent further non-compliance in relation to the AQTF Standards for Registered Training Organisations
• The Corrective Action Log will be a Standing Agenda Item at RTO VET Meetings
An entry in the Corrective and Preventative Action Log is required when:
• The minutes of the RTO VET Meetings identifies either an AQTF Standard non-compliance or potential AQTF Standard non-compliance.
• A review of the Risk Management Plan identifies either an AQTF2007 Standard non-compliance or potential AQTF Standard non-compliance.
• An external compliance audit identifies either an AQTF Standard non-compliance or potential AQTF Standard non-compliance.
 
It is the responsibility of the VET Coordinator to ensure the Corrective and Preventative action log is maintained.
 
12(B) RISK MANAGEMENT
 
The RTO must document and implement procedures to identify and manage risks concerned with compliance with the AQTF standards.
 
Risk Management will:
 
• Be reviewed formally via VET management meetings
• Risk Management will be a Standing Agenda Item at RTO VET Meetings (continuous monitoring)
