SRC Responsibilities

The Student Representitive Council (SRC) was created to allow the students at our school to have more say in the way the school is run. Our job is to discuss and convey any concerns and ideas that students at our school have about our school. We meet regularly with Mr Woodroffe to discuss school improvements and ideas for fundraising. On top of this, we also setup and run assemblies, collect merit awards, sell ice-cups and coordinate the collection of the recycling bins.

The SRC are responsible for organising and hosting of the fortnightly assemblies. They arrange seating for visitors and control the sound system. SRC members introduce each person and class that is making a presentation. They are trained in the use of the sound system and how to speak into the microphones correctly. They also have to help write their scripts and negotiate with staff on the best format for the assembly. Mr Woodroffe helps and guides the SRC through their duties.

Bandana Day

Crazy Hair Day

Nakara Disco

In term 4 last year, our SRC managed to sell all 200 bandanas and raise $800 for CanTeen - an organisation for young people living with cancer. Thank you to our SRC and all of the people who supported our fund raiser by purchasing a bandana!

Last year we organised Crazy Hair Day and managed to raise approximately $900 for the Leukaemia Foundation. There were some outstanding hair styles by the students and teachers. A big thankyou to Angus for being brave enough to have his head shaved in front of the whole school!

Our school disco was a huge success last year! We managed to raise $783 at the door, which will go towards achieving the SRC's future goals. Thank you to everyone who came along, had a dance and helped with organising the event!
