NT Government Schools Performance Planning and Reporting
The Department of Education (DoE) has a strong commitment to performance and improvement and recognises the important relationship between school leadership, quality teaching, community engagement, data and accountability, differentiated support and most significantly student learning and outcomes.
The diagram below details how the components of how the DoE Accountability and Performance Improvement Framework (APIF) fit together to create an ongoing continuous improvement cycle. The continuous improvement cycle is founded on a self-review and an external review process.
The interior sections detail the processes that are to be completed annually: Annual School Self Review forms the basis for the Annual School Improvement Plan, which in turn informs the School Annual Report.
The outside cycle shows that the School Review will be conducted every three to four years and will inform the development of the School Strategic Plan to be developed at the completion of the school review.
