TRANSITION FROM PRESCHOOL

Students turning 5 between 1 July and 31 December enter Transition at the beginning of the next school year.

Children turning 5 between 1 January and 30 June enter Primary School at the beginning of the term following their 5th birthday. In exceptional circumstances, a child may be accelerated into the Primary School, or retained in the Preschool.

HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION

A Perceptual Motor Program is part of the overall Transition classroom program. It runs for four days a week and involves a sequential range of developmental activities both physical and cognitive which link directly to the development of skills for classroom learning.
