Sports Day

Thursday 19th June 2008 

Anula School is having their Twilight Sports Day at Marrara Sports Stadium on Thursday 19 June at 4.30pm. The children have been training for the events on that day and are looking forward to competing in front of their family and friends.

All the Anula School children will go home at 12.00pm on 19 June so that they can rest before the Sports Day begins in the afternoon.  The Twilight Sports will begin at 4.30pm with a team march past and official opening. Then some children will take part in finals events such as high jump, long jump, discus, shot put and all children will take part in distance and sprint running races if they wish to.  All children will have the opportunity to take part in the sports day at a level of participation that they are comfortable with. The younger children will take part in ball games, throwing games and other events.  

All students are encouraged to wear their house colours to the event. Gudbiling is blue, Dangalaba is green and Batumba is red. Children will need to bring a bottle of water (only) and a hat. There will be ice cups on sale and a barbeque with sausage sandwiches and steak sandwiches on sale as well. We look forward to seeing you all there.
