Peer Supporters

A group of older students are on duty during lunctime play. Their task is to mediate any minor conflicts that they come across or are asked to assist with. They also keep a look out for younger children and new students who may need some help.
These students have undertaken a whole day of training and meet regularly to check in and discuss issues with the staff managing this program. Students are trained in active listening, effective communication, controlling anger, confidentiality, and how to seek help from adults when the problem needs adult assistance.

The peer supporters wear purple t-shirts so that they are visible to all students who need help.
