History
Anula Primary is a large primary school located in Darwin northern suburbs. The school opened on 6 February, 1978.
Mr Colin Young was the first principal and Mrs Leslie Foster was Assistant Principal. On the first day of school there were 383 students.
In May 1981 the Intensive English Unit was established - with a staff of four – to cater for non-English speaking children residing in the northern suburbs.
In 1986 an interim School Council was established, replacing the former body, The Parents and Friends Association. The new Council was gazetted in the same year and began operating formally from the commencement of 1987.
Anula Primary School has nine teaching areas and a Pre School, with the library located at the centre of the school. All the classes in the school are composite or multi-level.
