Reporting to Parents
As part of our professional obligation as educators we need to inform parents about the progress of their child. The main purpose of reporting is to define, acknowledge and support student learning. Reporting is the process of communicating information obtained from monitoring learner progress and making judgments.
Written Reports
Two written reports are provided to Anula School parents, one at the end of each semester.
Information Nights
It is usual for Anula to hold an Information Night in term one. This night is called 'Meet the Teachers' and as the name implies, allows parents to meet their child's teacher and find out class expectations and procedures. This is usually on the same night/evening as the School Council Annual General Meeting.
At the end of term one and three Anula School conducts Parent-Teacher Interviews.
Informal Reporting
This is the type of reporting that happens when you meet teachers at the door at the end of the day or at the shops, etc. These are vital and important contacts. If you have something important to talk to your child's teacher about make an appointment at a mutually convenient time.
