Enrolment
Enrolment forms are completed at the front office and placement discussed with the Principal or Assistant Principal before children are placed in the school. If your circumstances change as far as address, phone numbers, emergency contacts, etc., please advise the school so that our records can be updated. Accidents do happen from time to time, many hours can be spent in attempting to contact parents.
Immunisation records are necessary and proof of age for Early Childhood including Preschool enrolment.
TRANSFERS
- Intra-Territory These are completed as a matter of course with children's books and pupil record folder going to the new school. Copies of Report Cards are placed upon the pupil record folder, which we mail to the receiving school.
- Interstate Children are free to take their own books, but no other formal arrangements for interstate transfers are needed.
TRANSITION FROM PRESCHOOL
Students turning 5 prior to June 30 enter Transition at the beginning of the school year.
Children turning 5 after June 30 will enter Transition at the beginning of the next school year.
ENTRY INTO HIGH SCHOOL
Sanderson High is the designated school for students to enter at the completion of Year 6.
Children are given a placement test in October to assist in the composition of classes. A series of interactory familiarisation sessions are arranged late in each year so that Anula Year 6's may visit Sanderson and high school students visit Anula to allow peer discussion on all aspects of secondary school life. A parent meeting is arranged and is addressed by a senior staff member from Sanderson High School.
